Still Under Construction-Home
Summer in Europe means Festivals for Metal heads! Wacken Open Air is a Festival in the very north of Germany that has been going on for 13 years now. When I first started hearing about European festivals, Dynamo in Holland was the first one I remember hearing about. I finally got to experience a European festival in 1998 when I went to Dynamo.

Needless to say, Dynamo was amazing, and I went back in 1999. Troubles started plauging the Dynamo organizers, and the festival has not been able to find a permanent spot since. Around the time I attended Dynamo, people started telling me about Wacken. Unlike Dynamo, Wacken does not feature any mainstream or nu-metal bands, just pure "Underground" (what we Americans would call them) Metal bands.

Well, Wacken beats Dynamo hands down, so if I thought Dynamo was awesome, well then words will be hard to describe Wacken. But I can tell you this, it was one of the best times and most fun I have had in my life.

I attended the festival with many friends, so that made it all the more better! I was  with My friend Diane from the states, and Erin Lynch and Joey Serverance, two of my dear friends who live in Europe. I camped also, and for people who know me they probably think this is really not something I would be into, but I actually loved it! more...
